Privacy Policy
Last updated August 27, 2026
This policy explains what South Jersey Recovery Program (“we”, “us”) collects through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It covers this website only.
Information We Collect
Information you give us
When you submit a form on this site — a contact request, an admissions enquiry, or an insurance verification request — we collect the information you enter. That typically includes your name, telephone number, email address, whether you have insurance coverage, and anything you choose to write in the message field.
Please do not send detailed medical information through this website. Our web forms are convenient but they are not a secure clinical channel and they are not monitored around the clock. If you need to share clinical details, do that by phone on (856) 788-6914 or in person.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, ours records standard technical information when you visit: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and the site or search that referred you. We use Google Analytics, via Google Tag Manager, to understand how the site is used in aggregate. These tools set cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
How We Use Information
- To respond to your enquiry and, where you have asked, to verify your insurance benefits
- To arrange a clinical assessment or schedule treatment
- To operate, secure, and improve this website
- To meet our legal, regulatory, and professional obligations
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Who We Share Information With
We share information only where it is necessary, and only with:
- Service providers who operate parts of this site on our behalf — our web form provider and our website host — and who are permitted to use the information only to provide that service
- Your insurance carrier, where you have asked us to verify your benefits
- Authorities, where disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect someone from serious harm
Health Information, HIPAA, and 42 CFR Part 2
Once you become a client, the health information we hold about you is protected under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and — because we provide substance use disorder treatment — under the additional federal confidentiality rules at 42 CFR Part 2, which are stricter than HIPAA alone. Those protections are described in our Notice of Privacy Practices, which is provided at admission and is available on request.
Information submitted through this website before you become a client is handled under this policy. It is treated as confidential, but a public web form is not a protected clinical channel — which is why we ask you not to send medical detail through it.
Data Retention and Security
We keep website enquiry information for as long as needed to respond to you and to meet our legal and regulatory obligations, then dispose of it securely. This site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Choices and Rights
You may ask us to:
- Tell you what information we hold about you
- Correct information that is inaccurate
- Delete information we no longer have a legal reason to keep
- Stop contacting you
To make any of these requests, email info@southjerseyrecoveryprogram.com or call (856) 788-6914. Clients also hold specific rights over their treatment records under HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2, set out in our Notice of Privacy Practices.
Children
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 through this site. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Third-Party Links
This site links to external resources such as SAMHSA and the 988 Lifeline. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of sites we do not operate.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
